It’s important to give users a way to contact you and provide feedback.
There are plenty of ways to do it, here’s what I’ve chosen for Filerion:
- GitHub Issues for submitting bug reports and feature requests
- GitHub Discussions for discussions that don’t fall under bug reports and feature requests
- Canny to let people vote for features
- and my Twitter because why not
GitHub is a bit technical but I figure that Filerion is for mostly technical people.
A popular option is a service like Intercom, i.e. an embedded chat widget.
As a solo developer, I can’t provide a fast response time, so I’ve opted for a more asynchronous option like GitHub Issues.
